My name is Johan Karlsson and I've worked in the games industry since 2009.

In 2014 I got the opportunity to work for Tension Graphics and PlaygroundSquad and have been with them since.

I specialize in FX and I love moody environments and flashy RPG effects. As a person I'm a social and straight forward guy who enjoys solving problems and I believe shared problems are best solved eye to eye. I like asking questions. It's a great way to connect and to gain knowledge.

On my spare time I enjoy playing games. Who would have known? Some of my favourites are:

Elite Dangerous, Ori and the blind forest, Trine 2, World of Warcraft and Skyrim.

I also enjoy photography.

I've built a home-made portrait studio for photography here at Tension and I'm usually responsible for taking headshots of collegues and students. I've also taken a lot of photos for the website:
